I will I will

I promise to update with pictures soon.. I have been crazy busy with school, the children's school, and sick family. Everyone is starting to feel better and I am supper happy about that one. I also hurt my back about a month ago and after lots of continuous pain went in and found that either my tail bone is broken or I have a bulging disk in my lower back. The doctor is leaning toward the second but both have the same strategy, physical therapy. I was told in may be awhile before I feel back to normal.. sigh! We will be heading to Portland, Oregon for Thanksgiving to spend it with my Brother Ray and his family. We are very excited to see them it has been a long long time!
We have a new addition to our family.. not a child but a newer car. Our Dodge Caravan was a great vehicle but it finally gave up and was going to cost to much money to repair for how old it was. We were very blessed to find a great deal from a local car dealership and now are proud owners of a 2005 Chevy Uplander. It has low miles and I think it will be a good car for us. After some finagling I also got them to throw in a warranty for 36,000 miles... which is great. I hate having a car payment again but at least we have a dependable car.
We got to take our first trip in it to Seattle for Halloween. Trent had a work training up there for a week so the kids and I drove up at the end of the week to spend some time with family. We went Trick or Treating with Steve and the kids, it was way fun and the kids got plenty of candy. I knew we were in a nice part of town when I went through the kids candy and found a lot of organic candy.. too funny! I was able to see most of my family that lived there with the exception of my Sister Krista and her family. They were sick with the flu and stayed away.. thank you!

We have had so much fun with flag football this year. They were short coaches so I was nice enough to volunteer Trent and his close friend Dave to coach for our boys team. Micah is loving having his father as his coach and out team this year is doing a great job of learning plays, growing in skill and having a great time. I finally took my small camera and was able to get some pictures. I admit they did not turn out well and I plan to fix it with bringing a better camera tomorrow.
tonight was especially crazy due to a sudden pore of rain... This is probably one of the hardest teams we have played.. the first time they stomped us but this time we held our own and lost by very little. We have won a few games, tied a few games and lost a few games. But in the end we have had many coaches commend our boys on skill and sportsmanship- which is so much cooler! Trent even said tonight he never knew he would have this much fun (Like I said, I volunteered him :)

Hannah is doing so well today. It looks like she is going to come out of this fairly fast now that she had that IV fluid. She was playful and happy most of the day... whinny towards the end but she is two and all.

Say a little prayer

It is weeks like these that remind me how fragile Hannah can be when it comes to illness. Hannah has had the stomach flu for 6 days. Because she already has stomach issues this was a hit to her system. She has been sick for so many days and lost so much in the way of fluids that yesterday she had to endure a battery of test, blood draws and x-rays to make sure we are not missing something. The test came back "OK" but Hannah was on a really close watch today. This afternoon Hannah would not stop crying, I realized that she was no longer making tears.. this was a bad sign since it had already been two days since a wet diaper.. ( only diarrhea) I got a hold of her doctor and quickly took her to the ER for rapid fluids through IV. I was able to take her home after 4 hours in the ER, but only because at the end of the IV she finally went potty in her diaper. I am so grateful we are home tonight and she and I get to sleep in our beds. The doctor left instructions that I am to call in the morning and report on how she is doing.
I am asking for prayers. I pray that the lord can help our family through this and that Hannah will recover now that she has had fluids put back into her. I pray that Trent and I can find patience for each other and our children as we are very sleep deprived and worried for Hannah. I hope that Hannah's recovery is quick and that it is full. I want to see my little ray of sun running around and getting into things again. I hope that again, our children understand we love them all this much but are just worried about Hannah.
I will keep you all updated. I know she will get better and I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

a friend of mine that was in a Student ward of ours here at U of Idaho, posted this link; http://www.girlydohairstyles.com. I had to laugh at first because I am just happy if I can get them to let me brush their hair. However, I know some of you out there have children that will let you do things with their hair and not pull it out right after it is done so here it is. It gives you step by step instructions and they were really cute hair do's.

Adventures in Toddler world...

Hannah is a very busy little girl. she is the first of my children to really like to get into everything.. high and low to her. She has figured out how to move chairs around the house to get what she wants down and she thinks finding my knives is funny... sigh! Among many things Hannah loves to climb into Emeline's bed.. which is the top bunk. We have had to remove the ladder when Emeline is not in it to keep it safe for Hannah.
This morning Emeline and Cassie were the top bunk for some reason and Hannah wanted to join in. I was in my room and heard a loud scream followed by Emeline saying to Cassie.. Hurry go get mom.. NEVER a good thing to hear. I get to my feet and into their room rather fast and see blood dripping off of Hannah's mouth.. it was all over her shirt, hands.. you name it there was a lot of blood. I yell for Trent and take Hannah over the sink in the bathroom and proceed to rinse off the blood to see what is bleeding... I hold her toward Trent and he tells me she has bitten the inside of her lip... ok. I am holding a paper towel to her mouth and it is filling with blood.. and her mouth is shut.. where is the blood coming from? So I take her into my room and lay her on the bed. I see that she has a good cut on the outside of her mouth just under her lip line... and then proceed to put two and two together and look into her mouth.. yeah she has bitten all the way through! I freaked for a minute.. for two reasons, one she bit through and two she was still bleeding so much. I informed Trent that we needed to take her to the ER and called a friend that lived close to come and sit with the other children.
When we got to the ER they put her in the triage room promptly and had a nurse come in to assess her. The nurse decided to go and get the doctor to see if they would actually do anything for this.. since there were 7 people in front of us, in line to see the doctor and 5 of them had Flu symptoms (swine flu is all over the place here with all the college kids back) After talking to the doctor we decided to take her home. With instructions to ice it, clean it with hydrogen peroxide often and put neosporin on it a few times during the day. If it continued to bleed then take her to the Quick care office at 1. (it was almost 11 when we left the ER)
It has bled when she was eating and then again when she hit it on something.. but it seems to be getting better. It made for a crazy morning. I swear she will be the first of my children to break a bone at this rate... sigh! I love having a curious toddler!
otherwise we are up to the same old things. Micah and Emeline are liking their teachers and Cassie loves going to preschool. School is going well for Trent and I and we seem to have found some sort of schedule that works for all of us.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

The day finally came. Both of the children were so excited to go back to school. We met teachers and looked over the classrooms last night and it made it hard for the children to fall asleep last night. They were crazy with anticipation! The house is quieter and starting next week will be even more so.. Cassie will be going to preschool during Hannah's nap times... What will that be like? I may not know what to do with myself :D
