Emeline's School Performance...
Emeline worked very hard memorizing all of the songs for her concert. She did a wonderful job and I thought I would share a very short bit of it.. the music teacher was in my way most of the time but this was a clear shot... enjoy!

The holidays
The holidays have proven to be busy and restful all at the same time. The children love Christmas day and even got a couple of things they wanted... It has been wonderful having Trent home while campus has been closed for the holidays. The kids love playing and spending time with Daddy and Mommy loves having them "bug" someone else :)
Today Hannah had her appointment with the Asthma Imunoligist in Spokane. The test came back stating that Hannah does have the ability to fight infection and he believes that her body gets sick so easy simply because she was so small and early at birth. We are going to continue with "treating the issues" as they come and the hope is that as she gets older those lungs will grow and there will eventually be more good lung than bad. Until then we are going to try a new medication for the inflammation of her lungs, and two new inhalers in hopes that it will help them work more efficiently and be able to fight infection better. Hannah still has an appointment with the GI doctor next week to discuss how she is doing and where we go from here. Her empty study went well and it would seem the medication she has been taking to help her stomach empty properly is working. She still shows quite a bit of reflex even while on medication so I believe this will be the bulk of conversation next week. As she continues to reflux she continues to breath in that acidic fluid and this causes repeated damage to growing lung. I am not sure where we will go from here, but I know God leads us when it comes to Hannah.
The kids are continuing to enjoy their break from school and I am starting to count down the days til they return on Monday... :)

Short Hannah Update
I realized that I have not been very good about updating this blog on how Hannah is doing. She has had a lot going on the last two months. I have been good about notes on facebook but have neglected this site, due to a busy schedule. Hannah has not had the best of healthy over the past few months. It seems that she gets over one thing and then starts into something new. Over the last 6 to 8 weeks she has been on 4 different antibiotics, and been diagnosed with three different illnesses. Hannah has always been highly susceptible to illnesses in the past but has never gotten sick so repeatedly. We had to cancel our trip for thanksgiving because Hannah had pneumonia and had to receive shots over the course of a few days. This illness hit her fairly hard and since then her lungs are having a hard time recovering. We had a visit with her Allergy- Asthma specialist today and he is concerned that her lung are worsening. He ordered a chest xray and some lab work today and I will be meeting with him in January to discuss the findings. Hannah will be staying on an oral medicine for now for her lungs along with her inhaler and breathing treatments- as needed. One of his concerns is that Hannah is not able to fight illness lately and a few of the test will be looking at her immune system to make sure it is doing what it should be doing. I have faith that she is going to be just fine but that the doctors want to be extra carefully when caring for Hannah. Hannah also has another stomach emptying study in about two weeks to take another look at her stomach to see if she has made any progress with her food digestion. We will be meeting with her GI specialist in January as well to go over those results. Hannah looks great at this point, from a plain eye view, she is happy and very, very active. She has yet to let being sick slow her down much. I ask that Hannah be kept in prayers that the doctors will continue to see what needs to be done and be able to do it. I will be better about posting updates as they come available and if anyone ever has any questions or suggestions please never hesitate to call our home. you can email me if you would like as well, I check email often. -Karen

Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!!
We just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This year has been very busy for us and the month of December proves to be nothing short of very busy. I am not going to be able to get a Christmas card out so this will have to do this year. We grow in so many ways each year and look forward to 2010 and the adventures it holds for us!
The Nelson's
Pictures.. some older than others but I just found them :)
I recently found the camera that had some other pictures of our travels this summer. this one was my favorite for two reasons, it has all the cousins squished onto a couch after having torchered them plenty with a photo shoot before this and that the child screaming is not mine.. (sorry Linsey but it is nice to have it not be mine for once :) All the children had there moment to complain..
